Rare Leaves Emerald is an organic, single-estate Pi Lo Chun loose leaf green tea from Zhejiang, China. Each cup brings notes of sweet corn, konbu and sesame seed.

At first, I was devoted to Japanese gyokuro teas, and later when I delved deeper into Chinese green teas, I found such a vast range of exquisite green teas. This Pi Lo Chun has a remarkable flavor. As green teas go, it is one of the sweetest, least bitter I have tasted.

About Rare Leaves

Rare Leaves are single-estate teas. Like precious gems, these teas are carefully selected for their exceptional beauty and flavor. Each tea is hand picked and finished to produce the most exquisite tea experience.

Packaging & Storage

The most precious tea requires the most robust protection. Rare Leaves are packed in the ultimate tea caddy: CNC milled from a solid block of aluminum. They are airtight, light tight, and recyclable. They are delivered in a sleek gift box with a magnetic closure.

Final sale: Rare Leaves are excluded from the money back guarantee due to the high cost of producing this tea.

How to brew

Use water just off the boil (about 175–195°F). Steep 2–3 minutes for green and white, 3–4 for oolong. These leaves re-steep beautifully.
