Mackintosh is a loose leaf apple black tea with fennel and clove from Da LBI Tea. Each cup brings notes of baked apple, fennel and lemon zest.
Mackintosh is apple pie in a cup: tart Turkish apple pieces, a pinch of fennel and caraway, and a whisper of clove over a mild South Indian black tea. It is bright rather than heavy, which makes it a perfect afternoon tea with pastries and one of the best teas in the shop for icing. Named for the crisp Scottish apple.
Tastes like: baked apple, fennel, lemon zest, soft spice. Milk brings out the sweetness; iced, it tastes like spiced cider.
How to brew: 1 teaspoon per 8 oz cup, water just off the boil (205–212°F), steep 3–4 minutes. Takes milk well. For iced tea, brew double strength and pour over ice.
Good to know: caffeinated black tea (moderate), all natural, vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO.

How to brew
Use fully boiling water (212°F) and steep 3–5 minutes. One heaping teaspoon of leaf per 8 oz cup; add milk or sweetener if that is your thing.
